Dr. Samuel Echevarria-Cruz has taught undergraduate and graduate statistics courses for over 15 years at 4-year public and private universities as well as community college including The Ohio State University, The University of Texas at Austin, Concordia University Texas and Austin Community College. Trained as a quantitative sociologist, Dr. Echevarria-Cruz’s career has spanned both public and private industries as a statistician and researcher including The Community College Survey of Student Engagement at UT Austin and NuStats in Austin, Texas. He is a member and officer of the Austin chapter of the American Statistical Association and participant in the NSF-funded Two-Year College Data Science Summit, an attempt to create and grow robust data science experiences at two-year community college institutions.
