Rob Santos
Robert Santos is an expert in social science/policy research, evaluations, and survey and statistical design, with 40 years of experience. His career includes positions as Director of Survey Operations, Survey Research Center at the University of Michigan; Vice President of Statistics and Methodology at NORC University of Chicago; and Senior Study Director at ISR Temple University. He also co-owned NuStats in Austin, Texas. Santos has conducted research across the broad substantive range of policy research and was elected to be the 116th President of the American Statistical Association (ASA) in spring 2019 and will start as President Elect in 2020. He is also an elected ASA Fellow as well as a recipient of ASA’s highest recognition for distinguished service and leadership, the Founder’s Award. He is a past President of the American Association for Public Opinion Research and was a Vice President of ASA.
