Rachael Dietkus

Rachael Dietkus is a lifelong resident of Illinois and began her work in social justice, social work, and design at an early age. She was a first-generation student and graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with her BA in Sociology in 2000 and her MSW in Advocacy, Leadership & Social Change in 2010. She served as an AmeriCorps member with the American Red Cross while she was completing her undergraduate degree. In 2006, she was a non-governmental organization delegate to the United Nations Human Rights Council. Rachael is also a musician (played SXSW in 2002 with Matt Pond PA) and an avid supporter and champion of art and design. She served on the board for the Champaign-Urbana Design Organization and was a leader for CUDO Gives, an annual philanthropic event which offered a way for creative professionals to make a difference for non-profit organizations in Champaign-Urbana. She currently lives and works in Urbana, IL and started working on her MFA in the fall.
