Lucas O'Bryan
Lucas graduated from UIUC in May 2019 with a BS in Material Science & Engineering. While a student he was the President of Design for America, an interdisciplinary student group tackling social impact projects through human-centered design. He was also a member of Student Alumni Ambassadors, a student group that fosters the development of beneficial relationships between the University’s students, alumni and faculty. Additionally, Lucas was a Materials Science & Engineering Lead Engineering Learning Assistant, teaching an orientation course for first-year students, and a residential advisor for two years, supporting students during their transition to college. He was awarded the Senior 100 Honorary and Knights of St. Patrick award, given for exceptional involvement across campus and contribution to improving the student experience. He now works as a Design Strategist at the Siebel Center for Design, a new campus initiative focused on innovation and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
