April Smith is the creator of Performing in Education with April Smith. She’s been in the classroom since 2008. After she graduated with her teaching degree in 2008, she moved to a different state to work in a Title 1 school. She fell in love with teaching the upper elementary grades. In 2015, April was awarded Intermediate Teacher of the Year for her work integrating 21st century learning into my 4th, 5th, and 6th grade ELA classroom. Since then, she has published a book entitled, “Project Based Learning Made Simple: 100 Classroom-Ready Activities that Inspires Curiosity, Problem Solving and Self-Guided Discovery for Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade Students”.
