Tory C Hill

Dr. Tory Hill is Superintendent of Schools at Sweeny Independent School District. He has brought Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, and Math to Sweeny Elementary and the OnRamps college credit-bearing program to Sweeny High School. He leads the Dr. Jay Cummings Demonstration Schools design team, recognizing schools across Texas that have successfully met the academic and social needs of minority students. He is a nationally certified Principal Mentor with National Association of Elementary School Principals. He was named Texas Association of Secondary School Principals’ 2013 Region IV Principal of the Year and selected by Raise Your Hand Texas to represent the state at the 2010 Harvard University Urban School Leadership Institute. Dr. Hill holds a doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M University, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Florida A&M University, and a bachelor's degree in Education from Southern University.
