Gavin Bernard is a designer, large-scale installation artist and dancer. British by birth, he has called Atlanta home for 19 years, where he has worked in many different creative industries. He is the co-founder of the interior design firm Grafite, and Wake Up Dear Studio. He has designed and installed the art experience for WonderFarm, created performance works for WonderRoot’s Dance Chance and performed for The Lucky Penny.
After volunteering with re:imagine/ATL since 2014, Gavin recently joined the staff as Producer & Teaching Artist. His experience in design is instrumental in teaching the kids not only about how they can create spaces that inspire them, but that this type of work is essential in the film industry.
He is currently in post-production for his podcast Embrace the Mess: Chronicling the messy, challenging, and rewarding reality of teaching storytelling to under-resourced teens.
