Jessica Espejel

Early Literacy Coordinator

Having worked as a Children's Librarian for 4 years in the New York City area, Jessica has offered many storytimes to children ages 0-12 and their caregivers. In her current role as an Early Literacy coordinator at the New York Public Library, she supports and trains librarians in adapting their Early Literacy programs, including storytime, to incorporate techniques that enhance the magic of storytelling and audience participation, no matter the age of the audience. Jessica has a Master's in Library Science from Pratt University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Texas at Austin. She also enjoys Broadway theater, home cooked Indian and Mexican food, and watching The Office on repeat on her laptop.
