Dr. Nancy Lewin is the Executive Director of the Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents (ALAS), a national organization serving to identify, recruit, develop and advance Latinx school administrators to improve the educational experiences of the increasingly diverse students in American schools.
Her 23 years as a professional educator, and life experiences as a migrant worker, drive her purpose and passion leading the nation’s largest Latinx-focused education leadership organization.
Dr. Lewin has served as a district Chief Academic Officer, Special Education Director, Principal, Assistant Principal, and Bilingual teacher. She has vast experience with Professional Leadership, Adult Education, ESL, Bilingual, Dual Language, STEM, and Special Education programs.
Under her leadership, ALAS has significantly expanded their national presence and collaborations, including with the AASA Aspiring Urban Superintendent Program and the Institute for Educational Leadership.
