Amanda Johnson

Amanda is a Senior Learning Experience Designer at WGU Labs where she designs at the intersection of education and technology. Her process applies academic research and learner-centered design, developing experiences to improve cognitive and affective learning outcomes. She feels most fulfilled in her work when designing applications that help students empower themselves and discover their potential. Amanda earned an MS in Educational Technology and Applied Learning Science (METALS) from Carnegie Mellon University and a BA in Sociology from the University of Mary Washington. When she is not designing, you can find her practicing yoga, traveling, or playing with her very adorable dog, a charismatic Chiweenie.
