Ricky Ramirez
An El Paso, Texas native who grew up in a troubled neighborhood known as “The Devil’s Triangle,” Ricky Ramirez considers himself blessed to be able to teach and impact the lives of children in the same community and school from which he came. Growing up in government housing with five other siblings and an absent father, Ricky shares the same struggles that many students face now. Ricky was born with a servant’s heart. Following high school graduation, he decided to serve his country and joined the United States Marine Corps, which allotted him a paid college education. After two combat deployments and four years of service, Ricky moved back to El Paso on a mission to make an impact on his community by becoming a secondary teacher and coach. Ricky has a gift: the innate ability to connect and build life-changing relationships with students of all backgrounds and to empower them to create a successful future for themselves.
