Jason Ikpatt

Jason Ikpatt works as a molecular biologist and community organizer in Austin, Texas. He comes from a lineage of educators and community activists in Nigeria. Jason facilitates Brown State University for Brown State of Mind and he founded the genomics equity initiative Project Everybody. Jason holds a Bachelor's of Science in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona and is currently a Ph.D Candidate at the University of Texas at Austin in Cell and Molecular Biology. His work has been featured in The Atlantic and he appears in the Showtime documentary "Citizen Bio" discussing the expansion of educational pursuit beyond the confines of the ivory tower. In his personal life, Jason enjoys a multitude of arts and is involved in Austin's artistic community.
