Michael Gronostaj
CDR Michael Gronostaj, MD, PharmD, MBA, MPH is a commander in the United States Public Health Service and a medical epidemiologist assigned to CDC. CDR Gronostaj started at CDC as an Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) officer assigned to the Allegheny County Health Department in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and then completed his Preventive Medicine Fellowship at CDC with the Waterborne Disease Prevention Branch. Having taught EIS officers for over 5 years, CDR Gronostaj is well-known to the EIS program for his passion for mentoring and teaching. His vision for increasing education in public health and epidemiology at all levels of education has led him to start a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction.
