Emily Hackerson

Emily Hackerson is a program manager and founding leader of Upward Academy at Tyson Foods, an on-site workplace education program offering daily ESL, HSE, and Citizenship classes for front-line team members across the United States. Previously, Emily served as Program Manager and American Dream Fellow with the Cisneros Center for new Americans, coalescing stakeholders from the non-profit, corporate and public sectors to create more inclusive communities. Emily is passionate about building coalitions of unlikely partners for the advancement of social equity. She holds a Masters in Urban Planning from Cornell University and a BA in International Affairs from The New School in NYC.
