Katie Boody Adorno

Katie Boody, a Kansas City native and daughter of community organizers, has worked in public education in KCMO since 2008. She was a charter corps member of Teach For America Kansas City, helped start C.A. Franklin's middle school team in Kansas City Public Schools, and was a founding teacher at Alta Vista Charter Middle School. She eventually founded Leanlab. Katie also co-founded the Global Edtech Testbed Network and is a venture scout for Reach Capital. She taught middle school math for five years and worked as an instructional coach. Katie holds a B.A. in English Literature, an M.Ed. in Middle School Education, and an Ed.S. in Education Leadership. She is interested in the intersections of urban education, creativity, community building, entrepreneurship, and Kansas City BBQ.
