Borough Leadership Director/Asst. Supt.
New York City Department of Education - Office of Leadership

Jacqueline Grossman has devoted her entire thirty year career to serving the children and adults of New York City's schools. Jacky started her career as a fifth and sixth grade teacher. In 1997, she founded Greenwich Village Middle School, a racially and socio-economically diverse school in NYC's District 2 that was recognized for its nurturing environment and strong academic outcomes. Jacky was one of the first directors of NYC's New Teacher Induction program, which supported hundreds of new teachers in the Bronx and Manhattan. Jacky also worked in the Office of Accountability, conducting scores of Quality Reviews and getting to know NYC's unmatched ecosystem of schools. Currently, Jacky is the Borough Leadership Director for Manhattan and in this capacity serves as a facilitator for the Leaders in Education Apprenticeship Program (LEAP). She has helped to mentor and support close to 100 aspiring school leaders, and is thrilled to see them grow as leaders every day.
