Sara Schwartz, LSW, has dedicated her career as a Licensed Social Worker to working with underserved and vulnerable adolescents in foster care, juvenile justice and with immigrant youth. Currently, Sara works as the Director of Social Services at C.B. Community Schools, a competency-based high school for young people involved in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. In her prior roles, Sara worked as the MSW Supervisor for the University of Pennsylvania Law School, as an Independent Living Counselor for foster youth and a Community Organizer with the Latinx immigrant community in Philadelphia. She also worked as domestic violence community educator, and developed and co-taught a MSW course on harm reduction in Puerto Rico. Sara is a lifelong Philadelphian with a passion for international work. She has lived and worked in Peru, Costa Rica, India and Puerto Rico. Sara has a B.A. in Education from New York University and a MSW from the University of Pennsylvania.
