Lorena Knight

Lori Knight is the Education Outreach Manager in the Labor Market & Career Information department at the Texas Workforce Commission. She has been with the agency for five years. Prior to this role, she worked in secondary education as a high school and substitute teacher. She also worked in post-secondary education as an Educator, Academic Advisor, and Student Advocate for many years. As a first-generation and non-traditional college student, Lori decided to dedicate her career to helping college students navigate the transition from secondary-to-post-secondary-education to the workforce. She is passionate about helping students align their interests, talents, and training to potential career opportunities. Her mission is helping students find their purpose with purpose. Lori received a B.A. in English and an M.A. in English with an emphasis in creative writing from the University of Northern Iowa. Lori is a Native Texan and lives in Cedar Park with her family.
