Marisa Kaplan

Research Project Manager

Marisa is a research project manager at EdSurge, where she manages project and contributes content and articles focused on innovation in education for grades preK-20. She works with educators and administrators to understand how school models and practices are shifting and what challenges and successes they're finding during implementation, and considers how to help edtech entrepreneurs understand their needs so they can build tools that better support them. Prior to joining EdSurge, Marisa spent over a decade in classrooms, teaching and providing instructional coaching in schools serving students from birth through middle grades. She holds a B.A. in Music Composition and Creative Writing from New York University and an M.S. in Learning Disabilities from Hunter College.
