Elissa Salas
Elissa Salas’ entire career has been committed to advancing equity in education, serving in policy, administration, teaching, direct service, advancement and now as the Chief Executive Officer of College Track, an organization dedicated to supporting first-generation college students through college completion. In her tenure at College Track, Elissa has led the organization’s national expansion, doubling the number of students the organization serves by 2020.
Elissa previously served as the Chief Academic Officer of the Girls Athletic Leadership School, leading a team of educators to rank among the top 25% for academic growth in Denver Public Schools. She has also served as a Senior Policy Analyst for DC Public Schools, and as a Teach for America corps member at Locke High School in Los Angeles.
Elissa is a member of the Latino Community Foundation Latina Giving Circle and Chair of the Advisory Council for GO Public Schools. Elissa was the first in her family to graduate from college.
