Christopher G. Wright is an Assistant Professor in the Teaching, Learning, & Curriculum program within the School of Education at Drexel University. His primary research interests include designing and examining learning environments that cultivate engineering and science learning for minoritized young people. Dr. Wright’s previous research has focused on designing learning environments that support positive engineering identities for k-12 students and/or teachers, as well as identifying community cultural capital that students draw upon within these settings. Currently, he is exploring a model learning environment that integrates computational making practices, interdisciplinary STEM learning, and cultural and expressive practices from hip-hop. Dr. Wright has received a Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers and his work has been supported through the National Science Foundation. He received his Ph.D. from Tufts University.
