Rosa Weinberg
Rosa Weinberg is a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based artist, licensed architect, and educator whose work is focused on body extensions through the design and fabrication of fashion, assistive devices, and speculative prosthetics. Her sculptures, wearables, and pedagogical projects have been presented in diverse contexts, including Boston Fashion Week, the Whitney Museum of Art and Lincoln Center Outdoors and have been publicized on NPR and Mashable.
She is a Senior Coach and the Director of Studio Development at NuVu Studio, a full-time innovation school for middle and high school students in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her main teaching interests are in guiding students past implicit biases and cliches, helping students to develop interesting and generative concepts for their projects and motivating students to dive into mechanical connections between materials, from fabric to 3D printed or laser cut parts and beyond.
