Melissa Corto

Melissa Corto is the CEO and Co-Founder of Education Modified, an education technology company that uses the latest research and technology to help teachers improve outcomes for students with special needs. Melissa was a NYC public special educator in a Title I high school for 9 years. She taught in all settings, served as a mentor for new teachers and was a Girl's Varsity Basketball coach. She has been leader in alternative approaches to education, lobbying for alternative language programs and alternative justice programs for students with special needs. As both a policy and education enthusiast, she is passionate about the possibilities the intersections of policy, social entrepreneurship and practice present for the future of education.
