Vincent Costanza

Dr. Costanza is the Chief Academic Officer of Teaching Strategies, the leading provider of early childhood solutions for Head Start and PreK. He previously served as the Co-Director of the Office of Early Childhood Education with the New Jersey Department of Education and of the state's Executive Director of the Race to the Top-Early Learning Challenge. Vincent is a former kindergarten teacher and AmeriCorps member. He is also an Adjunct Professor at William Paterson University, Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education and the consulting editor for the journal Young Children, which is published by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAYEC). Prior to this work, Vincent worked at the National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER) at Rutgers University, where he studied the use of professional learning communities with preschool teachers who used a state developed performance-based assessment system.
