Michael Kleba

Leaders Don't Lead

An entrepreneur, speaker, director, and writer, Kleba has been a public school English teacher for more than 20 years. He is co-author of Otherful: How to Change the World (and Your School) Through Others, an earnest and irreverent book about the power and promise of great principals, superintendents, and department leaders. Written with Dr. Ryan O'Hara, it's the first book written by a teacher and an administrator about educational leadership that won't bore the hell out of you.

He's currently a partner at Leaders Don't Lead, a firm that coaches leaders at companies, schools, and organizations to be more authentic, vulnerable, and influential. Kleba also serves as Co-organizer of the NYEdTech Meetup and proudly sits on the SXSWedu Advisory Board.

A boundary-pusher, Kleba has hang glided in Brazil, bungee jumped in New Zealand, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, and run the NYC Marathon. He's been invited to speak about teacher-led innovation around the globe.
