Jacob Cridland

INSERT NAME will be completing his/her senior year at Avenues: The World School in the spring of 2020. For the past 4 years, he has been a member and lead of Design 4 impact (D4i) - a student-led startup whose mission is to promote and bring the practices of design thinking techniques into k-12 classrooms in order to inspire and equip the next generation of change-makers. In his/her free time, Jacob enjoys graphic design, running design challenges, and skiing.

During his junior year of high school, he founded and launched TORQ (https://irosenthal20.wixsite.com/website), a social enterprise that produces generators that can be retrofitted onto doors, bikes, subway turnstiles to harness kinetic energy as a form of renewable energy. He is passionate about applying design thinking techniques for social impact, specifically in an effort to mitigate climate change.
