The session will open with a short audio clip or live performance (if permitted), followed by a brief discussion of the language of improvisation. I will discuss the roles of practice, musical form, and performance. This framework is a metaphor for exploring practice, curricula, and assessment in education. Co-authoring student designed curricula, primary source experiences, and dynamic evidence of learning are key concepts.
