Session will detail the strides that NYC DOE has taken to ensure equity among all students, including LGBTQ students. What programs have successfully integrated students into school communities, and how has the NYC DOE developed staff in schools to ensure equity in practice. Resources will be available as well as brainstorming sessions on how to begin or continue growth in this area for schools, from GSAs to conferences and community outings to data gathering and official forms.
