Using Science to Support Early Learners with AI

The concept of AI in early education can conjure visions of a dystopian future. But when done right, AI has the power to transform early reading instruction. Based on 20 years of scientific research from Carnegie Mellon, Amira is a breakthrough innovation: intelligent software that works side-by-side with K-3 teachers and students to better assess oral reading and accelerate literacy. Session participants will have the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and experience Amira firsthand.
