The Role of Student Activism in Schools

Students are increasingly taking matters into their own hands to solve social and political challenges that adults have been unable or unwilling to address. Education systems and adults are often unprepared to manage students’ desire for action, making them less relevant in the eyes of their stakeholders, and ultimately unprepared for success later in life. This panel will discuss how schools can facilitate student agency and why we should develop cultures of learning that support social good.
