Dyslexia Identification & Treatment Across Languages

In the United States many students are multilingual & have a reading disorder such as, dyslexia. Often educators struggle to find standardized assessments for identification of dyslexia in the students' native language. This session will address each of the components necessary for the identification and treatment of dyslexia in languages such as; English, Spanish, Arabic, and Mandarin. A procedure for identifying dyslexia using standardized and non-standardized measures will be described.

Programming descriptions are generated by participants and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of SXSW.
