Teaching Kids About News Without Freaking Them Out

We live in a chaotic time where disturbing news events are a daily occurrence and simply turning off the TV isn't a solution. New platforms help spread inappropriate and often misleading news stories directly to young people leaving parents and teachers to play catch-up. This panel will show you how to talk to kids about the news, without freaking them out, so they learn about civics, media literacy and ultimately how to be informed, empowered citizens.
