Sheel Jagani

Sheel Jagani supports the Texas Lesson Study initiative at the Texas Education Agency, focusing on product development, marketing, outreach, data analysis, and policy. Sheel joined TEA following a tenure as a Lead Biology Teacher in Dallas ISD. She has also served on Teach for America’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusiveness team supporting pre-service teachers as a Facilitator, Designer, and Community Learning Experience Specialist. Coming from an academic research background, Sheel’s prior experience includes project management and development for institutions of higher learning, including the Smithsonian Institution and Oxford University. She credits successes to sharing agency with students and stakeholders, developing a reflective learning environment, and working to deeply understand student contexts as well as her own.
