Xyla Richardson

Xyla Richardson is a high school senior in Elgin ISD, a district with one comprehensive high school and a majority-minority student population. She is a high-performing student who aspires to become an elementary teacher, serving in her home community. Xyla is training at the high school level for early exposure to the education profession by completing Instructional Practices and Practicum in Education and Training courses. Following her junior year in a field-based Education and Training course, she now interns and student teaches in a second grade classroom at Elgin Elementary school in addition to competing in state-level events with the Texas Association of Future Educators.
