Andrew Coy
Andrew Coy is a driven problem-solver with experience at the intersection of nonprofit, education, government, and technology. He has previously served in President Obama's White House, Office of Science and Technology Policy as a Senior Advisor on the Tech and Innovation team. In this capacity, he led initiatives including National Week of Making, Nation of Makers, the Kid Science Advisors Campaign, supported the Computer Science for All initiative, and was on the organizing team for numerous other efforts including the WH Science Fair, WH Water Summit, WH Frontiers Conference, and South by South Lawn. He is currently the Executive Director of the Digital Harbor Foundation, where he leads a youth-centered makerspace located in Baltimore, Maryland and works with communities across the country as they reimagine their own educational landscape. Additionally, through his consulting work Initial Velocity, LLC he has or currently supports various efforts including CSforALL, Nation of Makers, STEM Next Opportunity Fund, and the Lemelson Foundation.
