Ron Reed

Ron Reed, founder and executive producer of SXSW EDU, has been involved in educational publishing and technology throughout his career. He was involved in the launch and management of several educational technology startup companies and the experience led him to launch the SXSW EDU Conference & Festival in 2011. SXSW EDU quickly emerged as one of the world’s leading education innovation events and annually draws more than 15,000 passionate education practitioners and stakeholders to Austin, Texas. In 2017, Reed assumed oversight for SXSW Gaming as well as SXSW EDU and today serves as the Director of Emerging Events at South by Southwest.
