Director Organizational Effectiveness
JetBlue

Kristy VanAlstyne first joined JetBlue in 2009 and is currently the Director Organizational Effectiveness. In her current role, Kristy leads organizational development initiatives as well as a number of leadership and talent development programs that support the ongoing growth and success of both individuals and teams. This includes the JetBlue Scholars program – an innovative academic program that has helped more than 200 Crewmembers achieve a college degree since launching in 2016.

Kristy has always had a passion for learning and inspiring success in others. Prior to joining JetBlue, she worked in Organizational Development with Blue Man Group, a multimedia entertainment company. There she supported continuous improvement and workplace culture initiatives and worked closely with the company founders to develop a private nursery school based in arts and science called the Blue School. Kristy has also partnered with various arts organizations and inner city schools to foster self-expression through storytelling and performance.

Kristy holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater from Shorter University in Rome, GA. While originally from Atlanta, she has spent more than 15 years residing in Brooklyn, NY and still loves exploring the city with her husband and two daughters.
