Rachel Swartz

Ms. Rachel Swartz is a sixth grade English Language Arts teacher at the David A. Stein Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy David A. Stein Riverdale/Kingsbridge Academy. Ms. Swartz is a 2012 graduate of Manhattan College, where she studied Secondary Education English. She went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Manhattan College in 2016, and received a second Master’s Degree in Literacy from the American College of Education in 2018. Rachel tries to foster a creative, rigorous, supportive, and socially conscious classroom by teaching about culturally relevant topics and creating projects that make social issues tangible for students. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, playing with her dog, and traveling.
