Ivalis Guajardo

Ivalis has worked directly with individuals with disabilities since she was 14-years-old, and she has spent the last six summers of her life as a counselor at a camp for them. At Alamo Heights High School in San Antonio, Texas, Ivalis served as a president of Project Unifiy and created their first Run, Walk or Roll into Inclusion 5K. She is extremely passionate about inclusion and disability advocacy. In March of 2018, Ivalis spoke at the Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools North American Conference. Currently, Ivalis is a sophomore at the University of North Texas pursuing a degree in Speech Language Pathology, where she wants to focus on assistive communication devices for individuals with severe disabilities.
