Jennifer Paolantonio
Jennifer Paolantonio is a Special Education teacher at Ponaganset High School in Rhode Island. She graduated from Rhode Island College with a degree in Special Education, and a Certificate in Autism. She is the recipient of the 2011 Teacher of The Year for Foster Glocester School District. She is fortunate to have been teaching at Ponaganset High School for the past twelve years and is looking forward to many more. She works in the Life Skills Special Education classroom teaching a variety of students all of whom have helped shape who she is as a teacher today. She helped start the Special Olympics Unified Sports program at Ponaganset High School nine years ago and from the very beginning it has been the highlight of her teaching career. She coaches both the Unified Volleyball and Unified Basketball teams and organizes many activities within her school that focus on spreading the important message of inclusion. She looks forward to collaborating with others around the world to share her passion for the power of Unified Sports and help embrace the Unified Generation.
