Mark Flanagan

Mark Flanagan is the Director of IT, Innovation, and Solutions for the Dallas County Promise at the Commit Partnership. The “Promise” is a transformational effort of school districts, colleges, universities, workforce, and communities to increase college completion aligned to the North Texas workforce with a goal to create equity in outcomes for students, families, and communities.

Prior to joining Commit, Mark served as the president of ADEPTCentral, a division of Avalon Consulting, LLC, which specializes in the design and development of customized learning solutions for Fortune 500 companies and Higher Education institutions. Additionally, he served as Chief Information Officer and SVP of Distance Learning Systems at Whitney International University System (now Ilumno) where he was charged with creating a scalable distance-learning model to support the company’s vision of global mass access to quality higher education. While there, Mark developed the IT strategy.
