Jennifer Klafehn
Jennifer Klafehn is a Research Scientist in the Student and Teacher Research Group at Educational Testing Service. Jennifer received her PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology with a minor in Quantitative Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2011. Jennifer’s primary research interests center around the development and assessment of noncognitive skills, with a particular focus on cross-cultural competence (3C) and cultural responsiveness. Some of her current efforts in this area include leading the validation of a multi-method assessment of 3C for the Army, as well as collaborating on the development of a training tool for improving cross-cultural skills in pre- and in-service teachers. Prior to joining ETS, Jennifer worked for the U.S. Army Research Institute where she was responsible for the management and implementation of their culture research program.
