Michael Bettersworth

Michael Bettersworth is the founder of SkillsEngine and CEO for the Center for Employability Outcomes (C4EO) at Texas State Technical College, a research, development, and commercialization division focused on optimizing employability outcomes. The Center is a response to the growing demand for skilled labor needs generated by rising incumbent worker retirements, global competition in the labor market, and technology advances across industry sectors. Bettersworth’s career has focused on developing novel approaches to aligning educational outcomes with industry needs in order to maximize student earnings and economic impact. Michael is a regular speaker on education and workforce topics, with appearances at national conferences and testimony on related policy issues. His policy work has resulted in the development of the nation’s first funding model based entirely on student earnings outcomes.
