Angela Lopez

Angela is a sophomore at KIPP Austin Collegiate and a member of the Changing Lives Youth Theatre Ensemble. This is Angela’s second year participating with Changing Lives and she enjoys acting. She is inspired by anyone who is kind and tries to be the best version of themselves. Angela joined Changing Lives in order to practice what she loves: acting and spreading a positive message to the community.

In partnership with Expect Respect – A program of SAFE (formerly SAFE Place) since 2003, Changing Lives is an ensemble of artist-activists that create and tour youth-driven original performances focused on violence prevention, healthy relationships, and social justice. Every spring the ensemble tours their original show across Austin, reaching more than 3,000 young people.

As a Creative Action program, this ensemble puts the powerful tools of peer education and theatre into the hands of youth to encourage healthy relationships among young adults.
