Vick Boyu Liu

Student
Minerva Schools at KGI

Born into an education-based family, Vick's parents are both teachers. They have worked in the traditional Chinese education system for over 20 years and strive to look deeper into the problems that the system is facing. Growing up, it was not uncommon for dinner conversations to focus on the most prevalent issues in education or the newest experimental school with a different approach to education. Vick was first introduced to the concept of experiential learning by his father, a model proven to be transformative for him not long afterwards. To bring this experience to more people, Vick founded an organization called ASAP which brought experiential education and innovative educational experiences to students from different cultural, social and economic backgrounds. To further this passion, Vick went on to develop the Mini-UWC short-course with a team of peers.
