Garry Davis
Garry Davis is a Policy, Practice, and Systems Change technical assistance consultant at the American Institute for Research. He has 8 years of experience in program administration, research, and technical assistance. In his current position with the Texas Comprehensive Center, he works to increase the capacity of the Texas Education Agency (TEA) to develop, implement, and sustain various education initiatives, policies, and programs. Content areas he works on includes: college and career readiness, educator preparation, rural education, expanded learning opportunities, and school improvement. Experiences that have contributed to Mr. Davis’ career include being a research associate on the Student Futures Project, with the Ray Marshall Center, and being a National Teaching Fellow for Citizen Schools, where he instructed 6th grade students in Math and ELA, and managed an apprenticeship program.
