Lucy Miller-Downing

Lucy Miller-Downing is the Theatre and Events Coordinator for the Dougherty Arts Center and Zilker Hillside Theatre. She has been making theatre for over 18 years, either on stage, backstage or in the office. Lucy attended Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg Kansas, earning a degree in Communications with an Emphasis in Theatre and Creative Writing in 2008. As the Theatre & Events Coordinator for the Dougherty Arts Center and Zilker Hillside Theatre, she manages the contracts of over 200 unique performing arts organizations, and has built collaborative partnerships with 45 different organizations to create programming to her sites. In 2018 she produced 22 free special events celebrating everything from Samba and Cumbia to Science Fiction and Yoga. She loves finding ways to make the performing arts accessible and abundant. She has lived in Austin and worked with the City since 2010.
