Claire Cook joined McGraw-Hill Education's Applied Learning Sciences team in 2016 as a Learning Scientist. In this role, she supports the design and development of effective learning solutions and helps to translate academic research findings into the product development process across the K-12 portfolio, with a particular focus on STEM subjects. Claire brings research experience from academia and industry. As a research assistant in developmental psychology labs at Brown and the University of British Columbia, and a graduate student at MIT, Claire conducted experimental research on neuroscientific bases of learning, causal cognition, and computational modeling in children and adults. Claire also worked for Ligature Partners, where she conducted research on educational technology trends and competitive market shifts affecting large and small clients in the education space. Claire holds a B.A. in Philosophy, Mathematics, and U.S. History from Brown University. She has also completed doctoral work in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at MIT.
