Markcus Perez

Markcus Perez, who grew up near Atlantic City, NJ, had a number of issues that caused him to drop out of high school. After enrolling in JobCorps and finally getting his diploma, he was motivated to continue learning and discovered Penn Foster. He was working full time while he was competing his course, but made sure to excel at both despite being so busy. He completed the Career Readiness Bootcamp, which landed him a promotion at work (DLX Men’s Apparel)! When he got promoted, he wanted to be sure to make the most of his new powers and asked his supervisor to allow him to use his new knowledge to lead informal training sessions to improve the skills of his coworkers and flex his leadership abilities. He inspired and led others during his time at Penn Foster as well. He is now a graduate of the Wildlife and Forestry Conservation program. His long term goal is to become a park ranger and forest firefighter.
