Rich has spent his entire career as a lifelong learner, thought leader and educator. His passion for helping others learn and transforming the way we design learning experiences began as a 5th-grade teacher, which led to a career in corporate learning innovation. Previously, he helped develop learning strategy, learning innovation initiatives, and managed the LMS for Cox Automotive in Atlanta, Georgia. He then moved on to help design a new way of increasing engagement in virtual, asynchronous learning environments at a start-up called onQ. Last June he decided to leave that fantastic environment behind to follow his passion, helping people prepare for the future workplace via developing the mindset, skillset, and toolset of a modern lifelong learner. That June he and his wife co-founder, The Organic Learner. "In order to stay relevant in this accelerated society that is changing at an exponential rate, we must also increase our rate of learning to match it." ~ Rich
He holds a BS in Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Media and Technology from Eastern Michigan University. Rich’s wife also shares the same passion for learning and claims that he and his wife are the nerdiest edtech couples around.
